Choosing a Fitting Bra wisely

• The band of the bra should be lying below the bust and on the rib cage. Ensure that the band is level all the way around the body. The band shouldn't be riding up at the back, otherwise it will be an ill fitting bra. A simple advice to the ladies, the bust will be dropping down and not supported if the back of the bra is riding up. It should be fitting closely to the body but not digging into the flesh. Try using a looser hook or a larger size if the band is too tight.
• Always ensure that the cup of the bra should hold and cover the whole of the bust without any flesh spilling out at the top or under the arm. This can cause a discomfort look in the appearance as the unflattering bumps or lumps are shown under the shirt.
• The underwire should be fitting the whole breast without being feeling prodding or poking. It should be lying flat against the chest and be able support the weight of the breast. The underwire is barely noticeable if the correct size is worn.
• The bra strap should fit snugly but not digging into the shoulder. If the strap is too tight, it will cause shoulder pain or red marks on the shoulder. This usually happens in women with larger busts. A good support should come from the band and not the bra strap if wearing the right fitting bra.
• Test the bra for support and comfort by walking around or swinging the arm.
